EXCLUSIVE: Anthony Callea reveals which TV show was ‘the WORST experience of his life’

He rose to fame as the runner-up on the 2004 season of Australian Idol, before briefly appearing on Celebrity Apprentice and Celebrity Gogglebox.

And now Anthony Callea has revealed the reality show he would never return to, even for the right amount of money.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia at the 2022 Logie Awards on Sunday, Anthony, 34, said: ‘Celebrity Apprentice was one of the worst television experiences of my life.’

He added: ‘Go through the process and you’ll find out.’

When asked if he would consider becoming a judge on the upcoming Australian Idol reboot, he said: ‘God no. I’m too old for that sh**t. Don’t let his botox face fool you.’

Anthony said while he wasn’t a fan of the growing number of reality shows, he would consider returning to Idol ‘if they paid the right fee’.

Dressed in a white suit that featured a trail from designer Con Ilio and metallic Fendi handbag, Callea walked the red carpet with his husband of eight years Tim Campbell.

Anthony famously had a run in with Martha Kalifatidis on Celebrity Apprentice 2021.

He was forced to defend himself after the Married At First Sight star said he failed to contribute anything worthy to a swimwear and runway show challenge.

He accused project team manager Martha, 32, of ‘throwing him a grenade’ and ‘playing a bull**t game’.

Martha, who managed losing team Fun-Raisers, chose to summon Anthony and interior design guru Shaynna Blaze, 58, into the boardroom with her.

It wasn’t long before Martha accused Anthony of not pulling his weight, having assigned him the role of runway show manager for their Budgy Smuggler designs.

‘He’s always shrugging off responsibility. That is his first thing that he always does,’ the former Married At First Sight star-turned-beauty influencer told Lord Sugar.

Anthony hits back at Martha, accusing her of poor leadership and disrespect.

‘I’m not going to play your bull**t game. There is a lack of leadership, there is a lack of respect. We were all actually trying to help you. Whether or not you want to turn that into a game, that’s on you,’ he retaliated.

‘You’ve thrown a grenade at me, please allow me to defend myself,’ Anthony quipped, after Martha said that she wasn’t playing a game.

‘I’ve worked my bloody a** off in this. And it was a lack of leadership, that’s why we’re here,’ he added of himself and Shaynna.

The odds weren’t in Anthony’s favour, with Lord Sugar choosing to fire him, and keeping Martha and Shaynna safe for at least another episode.

Meanwhile it wasn't just Anthony who Martha ruffled feathers with, with their teammates left uneasy after she chose intruder and AFL star Josh Gibson to design the Budgy Smugglers with her, as opposed to fashion designer Camilla Franks (pictured)
