Earlier this week ticket holders were left frustrated when the Canadian-American star announced her shows booked for November in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney ‘weren’t possible’ because of ‘scheduling issues’.

The tour had been postponed three times since its original scheduled start date in 2020, with Covid-19 travel restrictions to blame.

‘Blah! I’m really announced about this. Waited for two years for you to come. Your excuses are BS in my opinion,’ one angry fan wrote on Facebook.

‘Just another artist putting an Oz tour in the “too hard” basket again. Freaking three years. I got tickets for my wife’s birthday, just about her favorite singer ever, and we just get, “Too hard, sorry,”‘ another raged.

Some fans questioned how Morissette could blame ‘scheduling issues’ as the reason for canceling the tour when she’d known about her commitment for years.

‘Here is a thought. If you are SCHEDULED to be at a place, don’t book anything around the same time!’ one wrote.

‘Why isn’t it possible? Some people would’ve spent a lot of money to fly and use up annual leave,’ another smoked.

Some accused Morissette of ‘neglecting’ her Australian fans, with one writing: ‘Cancelling [the] Australian leg of your tour after tickets were bought over two years ago and rescheduled numerous times is just a complete disrespect for your fans. What a joke.’

Morissette’s canceled concerts were part of a world tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of her classic Jagged Little Pill album.

Her management also announced concert cancellations in New Zealand and the Philippines, and advised fans would be refunded for their tickets.

Ticket holders for Morissette’s shows in Australia received a message from tour promoter Live Nation explaining the concerts had been canceled due to ‘the unprecedented logistical challenges of global touring in 2022’.

The seven-time Grammy winner apologized to concertgoers in the message, telling fans she was crestfallen about the canceled gigs.

‘I love you all and will be back as soon as we can. Until then, big hug,’ she said.

This is the second time the singer, famous for her worldwide hits Ironic and You Oughta Know, has canceled tour dates in Australia in the last two and a half years.

Morissette was scheduled to play in Australia in 2020 but the shows were postponed and rescheduled due to Covid.

The singer made headlines last year when she came out against an HBO documentary celebrating her rise to fame.

Morissette disowned and blasted the film, called Jagged, as ‘salacious’ and ‘reductive’.

The feature length film focuses on the 1995 release of her groundbreaking third studio album Jagged Little Pill.
